Hello! My name is Mina, I'm 21 years old and based in Leuven. Mostly I’m in Brussels, where I started my Masters degree in directing at RITCS School of Arts. I graduated from high school with a focus on spoken arts and drama. Cinema, photography, dance, art has been my passion ever since and my love has only grown.

"Undercurrent" is my bachelorfilm as a part of my third year at RITCS School of Arts. This project was primarily inspired by my father, who is originally from Iran. His journey to Belgium and his strong, slumbering longing for his 'home' (after all these years in Belgium) encouraged me to explore themes of longing, nostalgia and the quest to find one's place in an unfamiliar world.

When Basiel, the older brother, returns home after a period of absence, Kamiel, his 15-year-old younger brother, tries to maintain the appearance of normality, while underlying tensions and family patterns continue to repeat themselves.
